JOB DESCRIPTION

The PR & Media Relations Officer is responsible for developing and implementing PR and media relations strategies that enhance brand visibility and reputation. This role involves managing media relations, press releases, PR events, and crisis communication.

Reporting To:
  • Relevant Manager
PR & Media Relations Strategy & Execution:
  • Develop and implement PR and media relations strategies.
  • Manage media relations and press releases to ensure positive coverage.
  • Coordinate PR events and campaigns to engage target audiences.
Media Relations & Communication:
  • Build and maintain relationships with media contacts.
  • Handle crisis communication and media inquiries professionally.
  • Prepare PR reports and presentations to evaluate campaign success.

Analytics & Performance Monitoring:

  • Monitor and analyze PR metrics to optimize performance.
  • Stay updated on PR trends and best practices to enhance strategies.
  • Generate detailed reports to inform future PR initiatives.
Collaboration & Process Improvement:
  • Work closely with internal teams (marketing, communications) to ensure cross-channel consistency.
  • Proactively suggest new PR tactics and opportunities to enhance brand storytelling.
Key Qualifications:
  • 3-5 years of experience in PR and media relations.
  • Strong understanding of media relations and PR strategies.
  • Excellent communication and writing skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple PR projects simultaneously.
  • Experience with PR analytics.
  • Strong networking skills and ability to build relationships.
  • Experience in crisis communication is a plus.
