Commercial Director / Business Development Manager
JOB DESCRIPTION
The Commercial Director / Business Development Manager will be responsible for generating new income for the company through the development of business relationships and identification of new prospects for the agency.

Office based – Riyadh, Saudi Arabia
Reporting To:
Managing Partner
Responsible For:
Generating commercial income for the company, with a particular focus on new business development.
Contractual Status:
Full time, Sunday to Thursday, 8:30am to 5:30pm
Salary:
Base Salary + Benefits + Incentives
Role summary:
The Commercial Director will lead the company in income generation from the commercial sector (Drive the business). He/she will set targets, generate income and work across the company to manage delivery of commercial benefits.
Skills Required:
Extensive Sales / Business Development / New Business experience
Background in Marketing Communications
Exceptional communication skills
Commercially minded
Ability to work in a small office environment.
Minimum Qualifications:
Degree / Honours/ Masters in Marketing Communication.
8 years’ experience, minimum of 3 in a senior position.
Minimum of 2 years work experience in the Middle East
Spoken Arabic is an advantage.
Key Responsibilities And Main
Tasks And Activities:
Working with the Managing Partner to develop a commercial strategy for the organisation, as well as developing the profile of Qanect in the business, commercial and brand world.
Liaise with the Managing Partner to develop a commercial strategy for the organisation.
Work with the Marketing Director and client services team to promote Qanect as a credible commercial partner to include PR and marketing, social media, networking, awards entries etc.
Building out proposals and presentations for new business opportunities
Evaluate and Implementing a robust new business process across the organisation including:
Research and analysis of potential prospects.
Use of existing clients and proposals for the development of new business and growth of current client stable.
Generating and following up on leads.
Securing meetings and presenting the company and our offer in the most advantageous way.
Working with the Managing Partner to negotiate contracts.
Identifying new commercial opportunities and developing benefits packages.
Ensuring that commercial partners fit with the Companies Brand and do not infringe on other important organisational relationships
Developing relationships with existing and potential clients and partners through:
Initiation of and hosting hospitality opportunities and other events.
Raising awareness of client needs/objectives across the organisation.
Financial management:
Work with the Managing Partner to set the income target for the year.
Manage the expenditure of the commercial budget across the year with the support of the Accounts Managers / Marketing Managers.
Other duties commensurate with the level of the post, as determined by the Managing Partner.
